My degree in Fine Art Photography taught me how to design a good photograph. But it was my first job after college, working as a newspaper photographer for the Idaho Statesman, that taught me to be quick and assertive in order to get close to the action and not miss the moment. When Home Depot hired me to photograph the essence of their new paint department in a photojournalistic style, I was excited about the possibilities. Here are a few of the images that resulted from the assignment.
